My first Convergence experience was 2009 in New Orleans. I had no idea what to expect when I arrived but I was determined to attend as many sessions as possible and find out as much about GP as I could. I needed to make sure that my company’s investment in my Convergence trip was worth it, especially if I were to want to attend again. On my first day, I met up with my GP partner and a few other customers who were also attending the conference by themselves. We networked, attended sessions, toured the Expo and concluded each evening on Bourbon Street, a must for any New Orleans visit. By the third night, my new friends and I had challenged each other to some mechanical bull-riding at one of the local establishments on Bourbon Street. For me the whole experience of my first Convergence was a memorable one and something that has kept me coming back year after year. Bourbon Street and bull-riding aside, Convergence is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the products, network, and have a good time.
